Ljubljana at a Glance

A high, hilltop castle watches over fairytale Ljubljana and you can enjoy relaxed city living and close access to outdoor fun.

The Ljubljanica River rolls through town and you can spend a wonderful afternoon strolling, picnicking and listening to buskers perform by its emerald green waters.

Ljubljana's small size means that it is easily walkable. Take in the sights of the old town on foot. Stop at a cafe and dig in to some of the Baltic, Austrian and Italian influenced food. Since Ljubljana is a university town, you'll have plenty of youthful places to chose from come night time. Sip a beer at a relaxed pub, or join an all night dance party. The next morning, wake up with some strong coffee at a street side cafe. Say goodbye to the city by walking up to Ljubljana Castle to take in the museum and the views. For a bit extra fun, take the cable car up to the top and revel in the view you'll have across town.
