Vienna at a Glance

Vienna is Austria's opulent capital and historic cultural center. Museums, palaces, coffee shops and churches all clamor to be visited.

Visitors to Vienna should head to the Museum Quartier for a day's and a night's worth of entertainment. Peruse modern art, learn about music, relax by a fountain and then head to one of the restaurants and bars that spill out onto the streets on warm evenings.

For those interested in architecture, gaze heavenward at the Austrian capital city's domed roofs, many pillars, tall spires and intricate detailing. Visit the Schloss Schonbrunn to see how the inside of one of these majestic imperial buildings was decorated.

If you need a pallet cleanser after so many grand buildings, head into the heart of the city and start exploring. Each little corner of Vienna has a coffee shop worth exploring, a beautiful church, or a shaded park.
